Harvested from the pristine waters of San Juan Island, our San Juan Island Sea Salt is a true expression of place, process, and purity. As dedicated sea salt farmers, we craft our salt using a traditional, solar evaporation method - powered entirely by sunshine. Unlike conventional artisan salts that rely on boiling (a process that can require up to 2 pounds of fossil fuels to produce just 1 pound of salt), our approach uses no heat, no fans, and no artificial intervention - just time, care, and the natural elements.
This slow, sustainable process preserves the ocean’s natural mineral profile, resulting in a mineral-rich sea salt with a beautifully complex, slightly wild, briny flavor. With a grain size and minerality comparable to Celtic sea salt, it’s perfect for finishing dishes, enhancing flavor, and elevating everyday cooking.
In addition to our pure sea salt, we craft small-batch, hand-blended seasonings designed to inspire in the kitchen.
